Roc, a 1991 graduate of McCallie, participated in varsity football, basketball, and track. At Carson-Newman College, he played football and was part of three conference championships, earning All-Conference honors twice and All-American honorable mention in his senior year. After serving as a graduate assistant coach at Carson-Newman, Roc returned to McCallie in 1996. He currently teaches math in the Middle School, serves as athletic director, advises the Middle School Senate, and coaches varsity basketball. In the summer, Roc directs the Day Camp program.

Roc and his wife Sarah have three children: Blake '22, Sloane GPS '25, and Blaize. They attend Woodland Park Baptist Church.
